Quality with passion
The different approvals mean that our screws from the RAPID® and StarDrive GPR product lines can be used in large and structurally demanding projects worldwide.
ETA
The Construction Products Regulation 305/2011 for the member states of the EU defines globally leading quality standards through mandatory CE labelling.
The basis for this CE marking of products in the RAPID® and StarDrive GPR series is the European Technical Approval (ETA). This provides proof that our screws fulfil this high level of quality:
- Can be used for all load directions
- Approved for end grain screw connections
- With the highest load-bearing capacities in international comparison
- With the option of angled screw connections
By means of ETA, we certify the quality and safety that fulfils the high European requirements. Our screws have been ETA-certified since 2012. The RAPID® T-Con has also been approved for wood-concrete composites since 2018. The Europe-wide approval (ETA) largely replaced the general German building inspectorate approvals, which were standard for RAPID® and StarDrive GPR screws from 1999.
ICC-ES
Specifically, these are SPF (Spruce, Pine, Fir), which corresponds most closely to European spruce/pine, and DF (Douglas Fir), which is similar to our domestic fir.
Even if the wood species are similar to those in Europe and many technical values correspond to the European ETA, there are still market-specific differences. With the ICC-ES approval, Schmid Schrauben Hainfeld proves that these high requirements are met.
UK CA
Schmid Schrauben Hainfeld is playing a pioneering role in the European screw market by implementing the British requirements and has been implementing this labelling requirement for its RAPID®, StarDrive GPR line products since 2022.
Holzforschung Austria
Namely by Holzforschung Austria, which checks our quality standards every year and monitors our ETA products (RAPID® and StarDrive GPR product lines).
ISO
This is to ensure that our products fullfil a consistend high quality level. Further more we also keep in mind the respectful use of ressources and treatment of our enviroment. Not just for us but also for our children.
